Is there an admission fee for the concerts?
No. Unless otherwise stated, ALL Florence Community Band concerts are FREE Admission.  Donations are warmly accepted. Since we are a volunteer band, we rely solely on our sponsor, The City of Florence, and the generous donations of our patrons like you! THANK YOU!

I'd love to see the FCB perform, where and when do you play?
​We perform 12-15 concerts a year, both indoor and outdoor. Please check our Calendar for concert dates and locations.

I would love to join the band, how do I become a member?
Joining is simple! Come by one of our rehearsals (Monday nights 7:30pm-9:30pm Florence Government Center, Lower Level), bring your instrument, and join the fun! We'd love to have you! We accept all traditional band instruments.

Do I need to audition?
No. Auditions are not required, but a positive attitude and an ability to read and play music at a high school level or better is helpful. 

I would love to join, but do not own an instrument. Do you provide one?
Unfortunately, we do not supply the instruments. However, there are rental programs at most music stores. Please check your local music store for all your musical instrument supplies and repairs. We do supply all percussion equipment.

Are there any fees to become a member?
No. FCB relies solely on sponsorship and donations to fund its operation.

I would love to join but play violin. Can I still join the band?
We are a traditional concert band and the music we perform is written for concert band instrumentation.

I don't play an instrument, but would love to support the band and become a sponsor. How do I do that?
